Seahawks Drown Sharks
It was a nasty, soggy night on the Grand Strand and the Myrtle Beach Seahawks did their part in dampening the spirits of the St. James Sharks.
In the early game, the Lady Seahawks jumped out to a quick lead and never let up. Kadijah Sessions led the Seahawks with 25 points.
Coach Brian Kiper said, "Kadijah had to carry us through, especially the first half because Shatia was in foul trouble. We have to find that fine line where we are playing hard and we are being aggressive but we aren't fouling." He went on to say,"When we start playing play-off caliber teams we can't just give them free throws."
In the nightcap, the boys picked up where the girls left off. The Seahawks were led by Steven Cobb and Everett Golson with 20 and 19 points respectively. Coach Craig Martin said, "Both Steven and Everett have done a good job for us this year. Those two guys have been great offensively and they are starting to be a little bit better defensively."
