Sometimes there are lunch functions. Finally, 1/3 of the field in each age division receives golf shop gift certificates. In the past, we have awarded some Overall Amateur winners $750.00 in golf shop money (the USGA’s maximum amount for amateurs).
The "Bring a Guest" policy will again be in place for 2010. In order to spread interest in the program, Associates and Professionals are encouraged to bring a different amateur guest to each tournament who will not need to pay the annual association fee. This person must not have been a member of the CPGA Senior Associate Program last year (2009) and may be brought as a guest to only one tournament this year. These individuals will not be able to register online, and they will need to clearly indicate the name of their sponsor on their entry form. Please contact the Carolinas PGA with any questions at 843-913-2742 or email Cory Amstrong, senior tournament official at

Another promotion will also be in place. With the Recruit 3, Get One Free program, CPGA Senior Professionals and Associates will also have the opportunity to recruit three (3) new Associate members and receive one free tournament entry. New members must not have belonged to the CPGA Senior Associate Program last year (2009). The free tournament entry can be applied to any future senior tournament except for the CPGA Senior Championship.
Becoming a member of the CPGA Senior Associate Program is easy! Simply head to Carolinas.pga.com, click on “Tournaments,” then “Seniors’ Program,” and check out the registration information. We’d love to see you out on the course this year as a Senior Associate member!
