Coastal Carolina Baseball's Meo Named Third Team All-American by the ABCA; Iglesias and Wheeler Named Second Team All-Region
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Coastal Carolina University sophomore pitcher Anthony Meo (Cranston, R.I./Cranston West) was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-America Third Team and was a First Team All-Atlantic Region selection, while senior catcher Jose Iglesias (Miami, Fla./St. John’s) and junior pitcher Cody Wheeler (Spotsylvania, Va./Spotsylvania) were Second Team All-Region honorees, the organization announced today (June 23).

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Coastal Carolina’s baseball team (55-8) won a thrilling 11-10 winner-take-all 10-inning match-up over College Charleston (44-19) on Monday afternoon, June 7, at BB&T Coastal Field to advance into the Super Regionals for the second time in the last three seasons. CCU will take on South Carolina with game times and dates still to be determined tonight at 11 p.m.

DURHAM, N.C. – Coastal Carolina University sophomore pitcher Anthony Meo (Cranston, R.I./Cranston West) has been named as one of 30 semifinalists for the Golden Spikes Award, it was announced today by USA Baseball.

Coastal Carolina Baseball Earns National Seed; Welcomes Three Teams to Myrtle Beach Regional
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University baseball team earned the number four national seed and will host the College of Charleston, North Carolina State and Stony Brook in the 2010 NCAA Myrtle Beach Baseball Regional, it was announced today. The Chanticleers earned a national seed for the first time in the program’s history.
Coastal Carolina Baseball Has Eight First Team All-Conference Honorees; Earns All-Big South Coach, Pitcher and Scholar-Athlete of the Year
ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University baseball team had the Big South Pitcher, Coach and Scholar-Athlete of the Year as well as nine players on the All-Conference teams, it was announced at the Big South Tournament May 26 in Rock Hill, S.C.
